The Dynamic Environment Evidence Recovery – Wildlife Crime Scene Exploitation Training (DEER W-CSE) was successfully conducted in two sessions from 9 to 20 February 2026 and 23 February to 6 March 2026 at Piasau Nature Reserve, Miri.
A total of 24 SFC officers from E&P Division and also Regional Offices are participated in this programme, which was facilitated by expert trainers from the TRACE Wildlife Forensics Network. The training was designed to strengthen the capacity of SFC enforcement officers and rangers, particularly first responders, in managing wild life crime scenes, securing evidence, and maintaining a proper chain of custody to support successful prosecution.
SFC would also like to express its appreciation to TRACE for donating and sponsoring operational equipment, including cameras, body cameras, spy cameras, video recorders, and other related equipment. These assets will be utilized by SFC officers in the field to enhance operational effectiveness, improve documentation of enforcement activities, and ensure the integrity of evidentiary materials. This successful collaboration between TRACE and SFC marks a significant step forward in strengthening frontline enforcement capabilities in protected areas and priority non-protected areas.
Congratulations to all participants!
